It’s OK, it’s organic!



So you’ve made the switch from pesticide ridden foods and GMO’s to all natural organic food sources.  Congratulations! You’ve taken a big leap forward in ensuring that you’re getting the best food possible.

What does your grocery list look like now? There are a lot of products in stores today that cater to the organic movement.  Products like, organic pizza, organic TV dinners, instant pasta meals, an organic version of Kraft Dinner, organic sugar, organic soy milk etc.  The list of available organic foodstuffs is long and ever growing.  I’m a huge believer in organic food. The environmental damage that is reduced when we ‘vote with our dollar’ for organic  truly does makes an impact.

 

Organic ingredients

Today’s post is meant to take you one more step toward increasing your health.  When you reach for the box of organic pizza, do you find yourself saying “It’s OK, it’s organic”?

Just because the box of food you’re buying is organic doesn’t mean that it’s healthy! Take a good hard look at the ingredients list.  Does your food contain cellulose? Glucose-Fructose?

Please take a moment and look carefully.  These substances, organic or not, are harmful to your body! Organic sugar is still sugar, sea salt is still salt and additives, preservatives and fillers are still foreign to human metabolism and should be avoided at all costs.

Instead, reach for one ingredient foods or foods with no ingredients at all. (Does steak or cauliflower need a list of what’s in it?)

Always keep in mind that regardless of whether the additives are organic, the impact on your body is still negative and disastrous.

It’s time to take the next step. Choose whole, organic foods and prepare them yourself! We’ve got tons of recipes to share with you for meals and snacks and want to see everyone who reads this blog succeed in eating the healthiest food they possibly can.
